OPEN MIC Night
Happy Friday!
As you are getting ready for the weekend and making all your exciting plans I wanted to plant a seed for Sunday, August 30th. That is the next Open Mic Night hosted by V.I.P. Last Tuesday, if you were able to make it out, you know just how much fun it turned out to be! There was a nice turn out of about roughly 40 and a good mix of poetry, song, and live music from the band. We even had a few of our very own Oasis family get up and do some pieces!
Whether you have something on your heart you would like to offer or you just want to sit back and enjoy the creative culture in which we are fortunate enough to be enveloped, it will be a night that will have you leaving inspired!

Tonight V.I.P. is hosting an open Mic Night from 7-11 in the Activity Room in Oasis.
ONLY $5 ADMISSION!!!
Bring your poems, lyrics, or any spoken word you’ve got to share. Enjoy live music and the living, thriving energy that arises among the congregated creative minds of our community. Lisa A. Arledge will be there and reading some of her work! Will you!?

Jeanne and Verle
Tonight we have a very special Outreach Night planned. As part of our theme of Love: In Community, we would like to honor two very special people who have loved our community for a very long time.
Tonight we will have a special thank-you portion of our event dedicated to Jeanne and Verle for all of their years of service to Oasis. After which we will materialize the actions of communal effort and feeding the hungry in the much anticipated and awaited, Human Hungry Hippos!
You will not want to miss tonight!
Doors open at 4, Dinner at 5:15, The Hunger to follow at 5:45!
