From Crouse Street to the classroom
For years, Oasis operated from its outreach facility on Crouse Street in Akron, offering creative worship, youth nights, arts programming, and housing support for young adults. Today, Oasis focuses its mission on after-school programming for elementary students, meeting kids where they already are: at school.
The heart of the work has not changed. Everything we do is experienced through play, creativity, and relationships.
Our team
James Wright, Executive Director
James has served Oasis since 2011 and brings an immense amount of energy, creativity, and compassion to his role.

Courtney Wright, Community Outreach Director
Courtney comes from school enrollment and administration. A girl mom and former Girl Scout Troop Leader, she brings her love of crafting, storytelling, and dance parties to the program.
