Program Director

In August 2011 Jim Wright began to work with Oasis. He traveled all of the way back from Phoenix, Arizona to his hometown Akron, Ohio to begin a fresh start by serving the community where he grew up.  Jim has lived in Arizona for the past four and a half years where he studied at Northern Arizona University and worked for the Department of Economic Security as a paralegal. He has returned to work full time as the Program Director at OASIS Outreach Opportunity, Inc. to meet some of the changing needs of the ministry. Jim looks forward to being part of our church community and building relationships with the youth. Two years of teaching all subjects at the Akron Digital Academy gave Jim experience in connecting with students on an academic and personal level. Technologically savvy, Jim is a great addition to the Oasis staff. He currently runs "Open Gym with Jim," a weekly basketball program for Oasis youth.
